My toothbrushes arrived yesterday. My first impression was, 'These don't look like much, hope I haven't embarrassed myself with all the promoting to my son and girlfriend, not to mention my in-laws!!' So, off to the bathroom I went and started brushing. The bristles were soooo soft. No bad taste, a little bit of foaming nothing else. When I felt my teeth to check (I thought I might have to regularly again), Wow! Clean, like from the dentist clean. I was really happy with the clean feeling and I got a sweet taste, like rinsing with slightly sugared water, in my mouth for about two hours after (same this morning, is that good, bad?). [Editor's note: That's good!] I flossed and got nothing on the little string. At night I went to do the nightly brush and found I could skip it if I wanted (I brushed). The next morning, still clean enough to go without brushing, except gums, great! I would say, there is a lot of clean in the little toothbrush that looks like a dollar store purchase.

I went to the dentist today for my regular cleaning. The hygienist said, "I'm trying to find a plaque sample, but I can't." That's when I told her about the Proton Toothbrush. She was very interested. (The doctor was out of the office on an emergency.) Then she measured the recession of my gums. The measurements were improved since the last time! I've used the brush for over 18 months, and I'm pleased to report that at my last exam, my dentist was rather astonished to find that a problematic pocket which had measured 9 mm for over 4 years reduced to 5 mm within the last 3 months. Hey there,
I'm having such great results with the toothbrush, I thought I'd write. The first time I brushed, there was a brown color from all the plaque it removed. My porcelain filling in the front which was stained for the last 20 years or so got whitened within three days. I've used professional whiteners that couldn't get my lower front and canine teeth white. -- That was making me crazy! Now there is a big difference in the color and I've only been using it about 10 days.
I had some initial bleeding after about the 2nd day of brushing, but it was an area that periodically bleeds anyway because I have a hard time getting into that spot. I'd be disappointed to see, when I inspected this area, food collecting in that trouble spot. The past few days, I had no bleeding. I've also noticed that after I eat, I just rinse my mouth between meals and my teeth feel refreshingly clean again.

On Friday, I had my teeth cleaned. Normally, I have a good deal of plaque on my teeth. It had been 7 months since my last cleaning, because I switched dentists. I wanted to let you know that I had an extraordinary dental checkup a couple of weeks ago.
My teeth were so smooth that there was nothing to clean, my pocketing decreased to less than it's ever been, and the gums were so tight around the teeth in the problem areas.

I got instant results the first time I used the proton toothbrush. I brushed for about two minutes and when I spat out, the liquid was brownish. I was surprised. When I looked at my teeth, I found them whiter than they had ever been before (Up until that time I had been using natural toothpaste with an electric tooth brush.)
After the 3rd day of using the brush, I noticed that my receded gums on several of my teeth had grown back up! This was a concern for me, considering the non-results from my previous endeavours. I'm extremely pleased with the brush. I also noticed my breath has changed, having suffered previously from halitosis.

We purchased your toothbrush with the metal disks in 2002. We have been using them faithfully, with wonderful results. Our teeth are in great shape. We have incurred no new challenges with our mouth or teeth. And interestingly enough, it seems that we have had less illness since using the toothbrush. The reason for this email is to request information on how to get more of these wonderful brushes. We have worn ours out and I would like to introduce them to our veterinarian. My experience is that after my first brushing, my teeth felt so wonderfully clean and fresh, just like that hygienist-cleaned feeling. Two weeks later at my regular checkup my dentist thought they were so clean that I didn't need any cleaning at all. I normally have quite a bit of plaque. After trying one himself for a month, he ordered two more for his family. He is a particularly well-researched non-amalgam based dentist. His understanding of the process is that the ionic charge around the toothbrush head changes the ionic charge on the tooth surface so that bacteria find it harder to stick.
It's also a relief to have the constant question of whether it's better to have toothpaste with fluoride or not behind us. And it's great to be out and about and just need a toothbrush and some water to clean your teeth. Especially for our daughters who have to clean their teeth after every meal, which is a challenge at the best of times!
